LAND REGISTRATION ACT 2002 Major changes have been made to the system of land registration as from the 13th October 2003. Check the Land Registry Web Site for further details. The law on adverse possession (a squatter being able to claim a property) has also undergone a radical change. HOME INFORMATION PACKS Seller's Home Information Packs (HIPs) will be introduced from 2007. They are supposed to speed up the process of buying and selling a residential property.
